Our $500 Prize Contest Ends At Noon (MT), Sunday, March 15th!
Thanks for such a great response to the opening of www.IntoTheGlue.com (http://www.IntoTheGlue.com) for miniaturists!
In just three weeks, over 50 people have joined as members. The information and photos that have been posted by them are both helpful and inspiring. We're struck anew by how generous miniaturists are with their time and advice.
We want to remind you that our contest to give away 20 $25 Gift Certificates to Amazon.com ends at noon (Mountain Time) on Sunday, March 15th.
So far only about 6 members have uploaded photos or started an original posting (new thread) that meet the original contest criteria. We're easing up on the rules a bit (see below) to make more of you eligible.
But even with the changes - we still have more prizes to give away than possible winners! Come on gang - you can't get better odds than this anywhere. Just start a new thread (1st post on a topic). It could be to introduce yourself; ask for help; write a review of a book, kit, tool, etc; confess your domestic misdemeanors as a miniaturist for using your child's toys in a roombox; or make a suggestion for improving the website.
We've repeated the entry rules below along with some requested clarifications.

Win $25 gift certificates for Amazon.com. As a new site for miniaturists, we want to get the ball rolling. We're giving $25 Gift Certificates for Amazon.com to 20 randomly picked winners who submit "meaningful" new posts or photo albums between noon (MST) February 15 and noon (MST) March 15, 2009.
To be "meaningful" the post must:
An original posting (a new thread, not a response to someone else's post)
Be related to the subject of the forum
Contain information relevant to our users
No minimum length required
To qualify, an album must:
Be of your own original miniature project
Contain at least 3 photos
Multiple entries are allowed. Each new post and each new album will be eligible for the random drawing and increase your chance of winning a gift certificate.
Decisions about qualified entries and the random selection will be made solely by the site Administrator and Editor. The Administrator, Editor, Moderators and their direct suppliers are not eligible.
Winners will be announced by March 20, 2009.
These are better odds than any lottery ticket - and you don't have to buy anything!
Additional Clarifications
Some members have asked for some clarification about how their entries will be counted:
Photo Uploads - Every 3 photos uploaded to any and all of your personal albums will qualify for one entry.
Random Selection of Winners - We'll put all of the entries in a list and use the magic of Excel spreadsheets to generate random numbers to select the winners.
Multiple Entries, But Can Win Only Once - While you can have multiple entries to increase your chances of winning, you can only win one gift certificate.
