It doesn't matter if you use a wooden or metal tray for gluing up your creation. To save gluing your object to the tray just line the bottom with a piece of greaseproof cooking paper, same as you do in a cake tray to stop the mixture sticking. The glue sometimes sticks to the paper but very badly and can be peeled away without destroying anything. Magic
